~Skirts by Joy~

My friend Joy recently finished some sewing projects and sent these pictures over so I could post them. Joy describes the skirts here:

"The tan skirt is Butterick 5042. I love the interesting design of this skirt! Once you figure out how to sew the panels it's very fun! For some reason the waist ended up being a little big. I think this happened because I didn't staystich the panels by the waist so the material ended up stretching out a bit. The tops were from various places." ~Joy~

"The black skirt is from pattern Simplicity 3881 I love this skirt! It's very comfortable and I love the bottom ruffle! I used a denim material. The pattern doesn't really have a waistband and the skirt is supposed to sit 1" below the waist. I don't like skirts like that so I made a yoke (A larger waistband) for the skirt. "

  3. I love your blog, it has been such an encouragement to me in being modest and feminine, I've been a faithful reader for a few months now.
I was wondering do you think maybe y'all could write a post or two, on how to wear different accesories (i.e. Jewelry, Scarves, and belts)? that would be so helpful to me.

I'm looking forward to the next post.:)

May the Lord Bless and keep you and give you His peace,
