~Frenchi and Christopher&Banks~

Fall is almost over and I finally have time to make a post. This is one of my favorite outfits this season. One of the things I love most about fall is the beautiful leaves, the smell of chimney smoke coming out of the neighbors chimney's, pumpkin pie spice candles, and Plaid skirts.

This skirt is from Christopher&Banks, and my sweater is from "Frenchi." The sweater is soft and well fitting and the collar isn't too low. I looked up other articles of clothing from this name-brand and found that they have a lot of things that wouldn't count as modest, but they do have something good every once in a while.

~Blessings to you all!~

~Skirts by Joy~

My friend Joy recently finished some sewing projects and sent these pictures over so I could post them. Joy describes the skirts here:

"The tan skirt is Butterick 5042. I love the interesting design of this skirt! Once you figure out how to sew the panels it's very fun! For some reason the waist ended up being a little big. I think this happened because I didn't staystich the panels by the waist so the material ended up stretching out a bit. The tops were from various places." ~Joy~

"The black skirt is from pattern Simplicity 3881 I love this skirt! It's very comfortable and I love the bottom ruffle! I used a denim material. The pattern doesn't really have a waistband and the skirt is supposed to sit 1" below the waist. I don't like skirts like that so I made a yoke (A larger waistband) for the skirt. "

Antilia Femme

Here's one of my favorite shirts for the summer made by Antilia Femme. I found it at Ross this January and it goes great with any skirt. It dresses up denim, looks great with khaki, and is fancy enough for church.

Newport-News

A friend of mine just sent me the link to the Newport-News fashion website. I'd never heard of them before but they have some really cute skirts.

Christopher&Banks/ Gabriel Brothers

While shopping a few weeks ago and looking for skirts, my mom and I stopped in Christopher&Banks to see if they had anything. I hadn't been in a while because their skirts are usually too big and I end up having to stitch them up, but I really needed something new so desperation led us in there. I was very pleasantly surprised, and found that they had quite a large selection of new skirts in. I found three that I really liked and thought that this denim one was too cute to pass up.

We also stopped by Gabriel Brothers, a name brand clothing discount store, and found this black sweater and a white camisole to go underneath it. http://find.mapmuse.com/brand/gabriel-brothers
