It's never easy to stand alone or to stand for what you and your parents believe to be right when others (even Christians) are living differently. It's not for us to judge the way others live, or dress, but it is our responsibility to follow the convictions that he has placed in our hearts and in the hearts of our parents. Thank-you so much for sharing!

Love and blessings,
~JacquelineJacquelinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17896895874666806136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6171414020297932753.post-80610536309308660582011-12-19T05:20:18.429-08:002011-12-19T05:20:18.429-08:00This was a very good reading. I have been wearing skirts now for about five years and moved to an area where few practice dressing modestly even in our conservative independent baptist church. Lately, my views on dress have been tried and my convictions weakened. But reading your take on the issue has really been an encouragement and given me that boost that I needed. i had been praying diligently on the subject and knew that God did not desire for me to change so as to fit in. But when I read this, it helped to confirm what God had already been placing in my heart. Thank you for this.Wendynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6171414020297932753.post-64346186499972507612009-07-11T13:07:18.865-07:002009-07-11T13:07:18.865-07:00I'm so glad you found it helpful! Anyway,an interesting question posed to the guys on there was, "How important is modesty to you in choosing a future wife?" Everyone answered emphatically, saying modesty is one of the most important things to them.Laurenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01275901948825550198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6171414020297932753.post-35192057001129622992009-07-06T18:53:45.156-07:002009-07-06T18:53:45.156-07:00Thanks Chelsea! what a great point!! :)Thanks Chelsea! what a great point!! :)Jacquelinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01839388068272135442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6171414020297932753.post-3385504029895758392009-07-06T06:18:24.732-07:002009-07-06T06:18:24.732-07:00Great post Jacqueline.
